The following images can be used by the press for articles relating to DeliveryPoD our Proof of Delivery / Parcel Tracking software.

The above image is a screen shot from the web site. A customer wanted a report on a consignment, went to the web site and entered the Consignment No. The report can be downloaded to their PC as an Adobe PDF or Microsoft Excel file - which can then be stored or Emailed. Notice the use of an image of a doorstep to prove that they did attempt to deliver the package. Most modern day mobile computers have an option to take a photograph with an inbuilt imager or camera.

"One Click Download" - this is a screen shot from the Dispatch software that is given to each company that ships goods. They can click on the Download button and the software will download data on every Consignment and Package they have sent. The data is then stored on the local PC (or database on a network) and reports can then list:

  • Delivered Packages & Consignments (with signatures)
  • Non Delivered Packages & Consignments
  • Failed Delivery Attempts (with image of customers doorstep)
  • Damaged Packages (with image of damage

Today, most companies shipping goods get fed up with it being their customer telling them that there is a problem. They could go to the web site and check each Consignment individually but this would take ages - so it is not a realistic option. Now they can check every Consignment and Package in a few seconds, putting them back in control!

The above image is a list of the items that were damaged during the previous days shipping. This was downloaded to the companies PC using the "One Click Download" discussed above.

The above image shows the sequence a Route Restriction being used. When the delivery stage "Send to Regional Hub" was created we selected an option to check each pages Postcode against the Postcodes handled by the Selected Depot / Hub.
After selecting the Depot (Bournemouth in this case), the user scans each packages barcode - the mobile computer checks that the package is going to the correct Depot / Hub and will either show a green "Load" screen or a red "Don't Load" screen (which also locks the mobile computer). One of the easiest ways of missing a guaranteed delivery time is loading a package onto the wrong vehicle.

This image shows a mobile computer screen after they have taken a photograph. This can be used to prove that a delivery was attempted - a source of a good many arguments in the industry.
Whether the image is colour or black and white depends on the mobile computer chosen. Text entry is provided and there is also the option to not use images.

This is the classic proof of delivery image - a mobile computer after the receiver signs on the screen.
