Honeywell (formerly HHP) are a large manufacturer of rugged mobile computers that are used in many industrial applications. Whilst they have a large range of options (all of which are available from us), we focus on their two products that are most suited for Parcel / Mail Tracking.
HHP7900 Mobile Computer
The HHP7900 is one of the best units on the market for parcel tracking applications, featuring impeccable build quality, rugged design, integrated barcode readers and even integrated GPS! We have been really impressed with HHP as a company (in terms of support and product knowledge) as well as their products.
The HHP 7900 is quite a large device, which is very handy if you want a large screen for easy signature capture (or just easy to see and read). Late in 2007 we were asked to present our DeliveryPoD software at the UK HHP7900 GPS launch - which was exciting both for us and HHP. The integrated GPS receiver is utilised in a new DeliveryPoD module that enables back office staff to see vehicle positions as well as drivers to use integrated navigation software to help them find their next collection or delivery point.
HHP7600 Mobile Computer
The HHP7600 is a fantastic product for tracking mail or packages within a building. Its integrated barcode reader, wireless LAN and small form factor make it ideal for mail tracking within enterprises or large offices. It has an aggressive price point which has made it popular with many customers.
